We’re the students of the Advanced Music Production Class (the SoundOven) at the Media Arts Collaborative Charter School, in Albuquerque, NM (nmmediaarts.org). We lost a friend and fellow student when Haley Paternoster, 16, died of a heroin overdose. We decided to try and do something to prevent other teens from dying tragically, like her. So we are making an album of original Hip Hop meant to raise awareness about the dangers of heroin to other teens. This is no “just say no” campaign. This is teens getting real with other teens.
