Yes. MACCS is small by choice with a specialized curriculum.
Yes. A charter school will need to use a Lottery selection process any time the total number of applicants exceeds the spaces available.
No. MACCS is the first State of New Mexico chartered school. We are authorized by the Public Education Department.
MACCS regular daily schedule is 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. However, we also offer classes at 7:30 am and after school, such as: credit-recovery and online courses. MACCS also has an after-school Music Club.
Yes. Students can participate in athletics at the high school within their district. We have several students who, for example, play football at Valley HS, soccer at Highland HS and tennis at La Cueva HS. We are able to accommodate students’ individual schedules in order for them to participate in these extra-curricular activities.
