MACCS Foundation

Have you heard the news?

One-hundred and eighty high school students from Albuquerque to Los Lunas, from Belen to Santa Fe, are enthusiastically proclaiming:

We’re the first school in the state with exclusively media arts electives.

We’re the first-ever state-sponsored charter school.

We will be the first graduates prepared for careers in the media and entertainment industries.

MACCS is exceeding our first year expectations! And, we want to make sure this growth and excitement continues in a solid and positive way. Yet, we have just begun to respond to the enrichment opportunities, which students, parents, and teachers will be actively involved.

The Media Arts Collaborative Charter School Foundation (MACCS Foundation) is the 501(c)3 not-for-profit private corporation created to aid in providing new opportunities, but will also financially support MACCS. The Foundation’s overall role will be to secure funding resources from foundations, corporations, and individuals for which funds are not available from federal, state, and local public sources to distribute to MACCS. The Foundation’s multilevel fundraising events and capital programs will ensure the schools continued growth and advancement.

The Foundation’s Mission is to expand and enhance community and state-wide support of our school by:

  • Building partnerships and industry institutional alliances in support of our students and academic programs
  • Raising capital for special projects, general operating funds and technology advancements
  • Advocating locally and nationally in support of media arts education and job training.

One of the unique qualities of the Foundation is that it allows people from all sectors to become involved in the support and improvement in the quality of education of our young people. We all believe the quality of life and economic prosperity is dependent upon educational excellence.
